Version 1.0 · effective 26 August 2026
Who you are dealing with
Plate Software is supplied by Paramount Plates Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16366988, whose registered office is at 42 Moorside, Spennymoor, DL16 7EA, United Kingdom.
In this document, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Paramount Plates Ltd, and “you” means the business named at checkout.
You can reach us at hello@platesoftware.co.uk or on 0191 367 3451, Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Before you buy
Two things are worth checking, because they are the two we cannot fix afterwards.
Plate Software runs on Windows only. There is no macOS or Linux version.
Your licence key arrives by email and is pasted into the application. It is not an account you log into.
If you buy as an individual rather than a business
This software is sold to businesses, and at checkout you confirm you are buying for business purposes. If you are in fact buying as an individual for personal use, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Because your licence key is supplied immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree to that immediate supply and to acknowledge that it ends the 14-day cancellation right once the key has been sent. If you would rather keep the right, do not tick that box — email us instead and we will hold the order for you.
Nothing here removes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Cancelling
Email hello@platesoftware.co.uk and we will turn renewal off. There is no self-service cancellation in the application or on this site yet, and there is no notice period.
Monthly Flex can be cancelled before your next billing date. Annual and 12-month plans run to the end of the term you committed to.
What happens when a subscription ends
Your key runs to the end of the period you have paid for, plus seven days, and then stops working. The application still opens and your projects, templates, printer profiles and calibration stay on your computer. What stops is producing final printable output.
Nothing is deleted and nothing is withheld.
Refunds
If Plate Software will not run on your computer and we cannot get it running, tell us within 30 days of buying and we will refund you in full.
If the software does not do something this website says it does, and we cannot put it right within a reasonable time, we will refund you for the part of your term you have not used.
Outside those two cases we do not refund part-used terms, including where you have simply changed your mind. That is our policy, and it gives way to the law: if you are a consumer and the software is faulty, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you to a repair or replacement first, and then to a price reduction if that does not work — which can mean money back for a term you have partly used. Our policy does not override that.
If your circumstances are unusual, tell us — we would rather sort something out than have you feel cheated by a piece of software costing less than a tank of fuel.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of us agreeing them.
Additional Production Licences
Production Licences bought mid-term are refunded on the same basis as the subscription they were added to.
Chargebacks
If you think something has gone wrong, email us before raising a chargeback. A chargeback costs us a fee and tells us nothing about what the problem was, and we can almost always resolve it faster directly.
Where a chargeback is raised on a subscription that was properly supplied, we may end the contract under the terms of sale. That does not apply to a consumer exercising a legal right — pursuing a right you have is never a reason for us to treat you worse.
If you are not happy with our answer
Email hello@platesoftware.co.uk with “complaint” in the subject. We acknowledge within two working days and answer within ten, or tell you why we need longer.
